Back in 1987, a limited edition antique replica toy bank was offered to Festival goers as a fundraiser. Since then, the Festival toy bank has become a must-have souvenir, completely selling out in some years. In the past, models have included a horse and wagon tanker, a 1917 Maxwell Touring Car, a 1910 Mack Tanker, and last year’s popular model, a 1935 Ford Pickup Truck. These metal cars and trucks have enormous potential value as collectibles and often have appreciated in value year by year; each new edition is eagerly awaited by collectors and dealers.
For 2008, we are pleased to offer a 1954 International Pickup Truck which can be purchased at the Festival for $35. including taxes, the Elmira Bank of Montreal, Woolwich Visitor Services at 5 First Street E (519 669-2605) or on the Festival website.
The high quality features of this classic pickup include chrome bumpers and wheel covers with whitewall tires, and a shiny black body and fenders. The tailgate of the pickup bed opens to reveal the coin slot of the bank. This classic replica also features the Elmira Maple Syrup Festival 2008 toy show logo complete with a red maple leaf on the door panels and a large red maple leaf on the tonneau cover of the pickup box. The hood also opens to uncover a detailed engine. The doors open to show the interior of the pickup. Enjoy this collector toy bank!!
