We’re turning 50!
On Saturday, April 5, 2014 from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., the town of Elmira will be celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the Elmira Maple Syrup Festival. Since 1965, this annual event attracts thousands of visitors ready to taste the local maple syrup poured onto thousands of pancakes. The entire community comes alive and volunteers, young and old, contribute in any way they can. The proceeds raised by the Festival are donated back to non-profit organizations in the community. To date, the Festival has raised millions of dollars for these organizations.
We’ve got something for everyone! Check out all our events here.
Come taste, smell and experience the “World’s Largest One Day Maple Syrup Festival”. The entire family will enjoy the tradition and cultural uniqueness that make Woolwich Township and the town of Elmira a vibrant and fun place to visit.
Chairperson, Elmira Maple Syrup Festival
Our goal is to offer a family friendly, volunteer led festival to celebrate Elmira’s history as a maple syrup producing community through a blend of traditional and innovative events that will attract guests from across Ontario and beyond.
We want to present the best one day Spring Festival in Ontario that honours our host of volunteers; supports local non-profit organizations; respects the environment; and partners with the maple syrup producers, downtown businesses, and the local community to make the Elmira Maple Syrup Festival a must attend event each and every year.
